{INFO} How to Join

So, you’ve read our [Story] and want to join DeathsApprentices, but there are so many other journals to read that you don’t know where to begin! This journal will touch upon the necessary steps and requirements you must take in order to join this group.

Read the Rules

Before you get started, please thoroughly read through the our [Rules + FAQ]. While most of it may seem like common sense, there will be some rules or questions that are exclusive to DeathsApprentices. As the staff of this group, we do not tolerate rule breakers, nor do we appreciate repeating answers.

Make Your Character

Now comes the fun part -- making your DeathsApprentices character! As there are guidelines to characters based on things like their division, it would be wise to refer to the [Character Creation Guide], which will walk you through all the necessary elements needed to create a successful character.

Look for Group Openings

DeathsApprentices is a public group -- this means that public openings will be held when announced. If the group is closed at the time, simply watch the group for opening notifications if you haven’t already. Any join requests sent when we aren’t open will immediately be declined.

Get your Application Checked

If the group is about to open, there is a high likelihood that the admins are available to check your application. Application checks only consist of making sure that everything is filled out correctly. We will not check for character consistency. Passing the application check does not guarantee acceptance but it does increase chances. There will be only one round of "checking" for each app.

Send Your Join Request

Once the group is open, click on the "Join our Group" buttonlocated at the top of the group’s page; a "Request to Join this Group" page will pop up. The "Note" section of that page must include:

Character: [ full name of your character ]
App: [ link to your app ]
Referred By: [ usernames of anyone who referred you ]
Skype Username: [ if you'd like to be added to the skype group, please give us your name!! ]
Time Zone: [ your timezone ]

in the specified format, with the words in [ ] replaced by your character’s information. Once everything is completely filled out, click the "Submit Request" button. This should send your join request to the group’s inbox, as well as send a correspondence message into your inbox. It is highly recommended to keep the correspondence message saved until you find out whether you were accepted or declined.


You’re all set! All that’s left to do is wait for a response! That is, please be patient with us. An expired join request does NOT by any means imply that you have been declined; we simply haven’t gotten to it yet. In short, you do not and should not resend your join request if it expires; we will be sure to send you an invite if you are accepted.
